About

Day job: who gets access to what.

I'm a 38-year-old father of two, and I work in the cybersecurity industry with a focus on identity security and software-as-a-service (SaaS).

Most of my day is spent on the question of who and what should have access to what, for how long, and how you'd know if that went wrong. That spans Identity and Access Management (IAM), which decides who gets in; Privileged Access Management (PAM), which locks down the accounts that can do the most damage; Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM), which finds the permissions in the cloud that nobody remembers granting; and Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), which catches it when an identity is being used in a way it shouldn't be.

The projects here are what I build in the hours left over: stats dashboards for my Counter-Strike team, planners for Tarkov raids, and the small tools that keep a home lab and a busy family running. The day job shows up in them anyway. Most are private or invite-only, nothing gets more access than it needs, and the ones that are public are public on purpose.
